After dozens of field tests, Hydro-Tech learnt much and gained abundant experience. Then we decided to design a portable and low-power multibeam echo sounder suitable for high mountains, no man land, reservoirs, lakes and other areas of the water resource industry. With the compact and multi-function design, it has truly become a powerful tool for water resources surveying and mapping. Up to now, Hydro-Tech products have been utilized by the South-to-North Water Diversion Center of the Ministry of Water Resources and other Provincial Water Resources Planning Institutes.
China's unique natural conditions and humanistic living environment have caused the water quality of most of the waterways change to muddy water, especially the sediment particles in the Yangtze River are particularly more and small. This situation had made huge losses to acoustic signals transmission. After years of concentrated research and analysis of impact of water quality on sound data, Hydra's R&D team has developed a unique "muddy water algorithm", which solves the problem of sonar measurement in harsh water environments. Even during the dredging process, Hydro-Tech Echo Sounder could real time clearly identify the terrain.

Traditional marine surveying and mapping field is the initial and widely industry applications of Hydro-Tech MS series multi beam echo sounder and SS series side scan sonar. So far, Hydro-Tech products have been widely utilized in navigation survey, dredging survey, offshore wind power and other fields. Many well-known marine surveying bureaus in China have purchased Hydro-Tech products.


Underwater sonar measurement can quickly search, locate and rescue people, vehicles and containers in a specific area, and can accurately display the positioning information and on-site underwater images in real time, which is convenient for operators to set plans in time for rescue or salvage.
